Over 300 pieces of art created by the students of Oldsmar and Forest Lakes Elementary Schools are now on display at Oldsmar City Hall, located at 100 State Street West. The exhibit features various mediums by each Grade level.
The pieces are selected each year by art teachers for this display, which runs October 2 through November 20, 2019, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Sunset Sounds launching this October
The City of Oldsmar is launching ‘Sunset Sounds,’ a free concert series this fall. The event location will be along the waterfront of Upper Tampa Bay at R.E. Olds Park, 107 Shore Drive West, in Oldsmar.
The inaugural concert will be on Friday, October 18, 2019, featuring tropical rock music by the Trop Rock Junkies. The event will kick off at 6:30 p.m., with music beginning at 7:00 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their blankets and lawn chairs. Food trucks will be available for concessions. The public is invited to enjoy this free evening of live music under the amphitheater and the stars.
This Spooktacular event is Friday, October 25, 2019, from 6-9:00 p.m. at the Mobbly Bayou Wilderness Preserve. Parking and shuttle/hayrides will be at Bicentennial Park, 423 Lafayette Blvd., Oldsmar.
Always a community favorite, this free festivity features a haunted trail, costume contests, inflatables, and CANDY! Costume contest registration begins at 5:00 p.m. for ages 12 & under.
Empower Adventures Tampa Bay will be offering a $10 zipline experience that evening.
