A proud City resident since 2003 and a prominent Oldsmar business leader, Mayor Eric Seidel was elected to office in March of 2019. He recently served on Oldsmar City Council from 2015 through 2019; and previously served on Council from 2007 through 2009.
Mayor Seidel currently serves as the Vice President/Treasurer of the PInellas County Mayor's Council.
His community experience started as the National President of the United States Junior Chamber after serving as the State President of the Florida Jaycees. Eric has served on the Board of Directors for the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA), the Executive Board of Directors for the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Market Square Community Review Committee, Board Member of the Firefighters Pension Board, and Board of Adjustments. He also served as Oldsmar’s representative for the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council. Mayor Seidel was selected to participate in the Leadership Pinellas Class of 2018. He served as Secretary of the PInellas County Mayor's Council in 2020.
He possesses a strong background in the corporate world as the Co-Founder, Owner & President/CEO of Web-Est, LLC based on Oldsmar. Currently, he serves as a Trustee under his company with the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce.
A native of South Florida, Eric enjoys spending as much time with his wife, Amber, and their 4 children; all 4 children grown, the Seidel's recently became empty nesters with their youngest moving on her own with college starting. The Seidel's recently became grandparents with a grandson, a first-time experience. He enjoys watching football (especially the Miami Hurricanes) and enjoys being a season ticket holder with the World Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, boxing, boating when time permits and being poolside with family.
